Jesse Tree- Day 25

Well, we did day 25 on Christmas Eve night but this is the first opportunity I have had to blog since then. We have been going non-stop. So, better late than never here is day 25 of our Jesse Tree:

Scripture Passage: Luke 2:1-20

Key Points: Our savior was born- the God of the Universe came to earth as a baby. He left heaven, humbled himself and became a man, a baby. What a beautiful mystery! Did he think like a baby or did he remember heaven even as a babe? When he was a toddler, did he think simply like Caleb and Noah do, or did He think like a man, like God? He was fully man- so he was hungry, needed his diaper changed, cried when he was tired or hurting. But He was also fully God. Something so amazing and so mysterious. He came to earth as a baby- but He came as a baby born to die. He was born to take our sins upon Himself on the cross. He was our ransom, our redeemer- the shoot of Jesse's tree, promised by God since the fall- the reason we celebrate.

Our final Jesse Tree Ornament

Our finished Jesse Tree. We kept it on the piano and our nativity sat below it. God's word pointing us to His Son. Kinda cool.

I loved the Jesse Tree. I am so thankful to have found this tradition. The boys really enjoyed it and so did we. It was such a great way to keep us all focused on the Truth of Christmas. I can't wait to continue our new Christmas tradition!
